The Goodie Shoppe in New Fairfield

Nice cakes and pastries have had both yummy. I got an italian bread that was still warm and delicious.

You can't go wrong with this hometown bakery and coffee shop! Say hi to Marc while your there.

This will sound petty, but their poppy seed rolls are the best I've ever had. Light, with just the right crunch, they are perfect, always. Any baker will tell you this is difficult to achieve, because of variations in humidity and barometric pressure. The owner achieves this, always.

Everytime I go in this store, there are always people at the tables chatting, which I love to see. The bakery offers delicious breads, bagels, muffins, cookies, pastries and I forgot pies!!

Mark has gone above and beyond just to help me bring back and old memory . He is a fantastic person and doing great as a business man.

They have what I call a "Black Forest Cupcake" that is simply delectable!!! My husband gets one for me every week 😊😊 It's truly an absolute pleasure!Along with the cupcake we get a variety of cookies. Service is always friendly. I HIGHLY recommend The Goodie Shoppe.

Delicious homemade baked goods and hearty breads. The interior is a bit dated, with peeling paint and dingy upholstery.

I’ve never had a bad experience there. They make the best cakes ever. They are very accommodating. Super happy with them.

Edit: The below is still true, even during lockdown!Original: I honestly will occasionally drive over an hour to grab me a slice of that raspberry crumb cake. It is unbelievable.

Super friendly, though their baked goods are hit or miss. Cakes are delicious, but cupcakes (especially given the price) I find dense and dry.

Nice local hangout...great selection and quality. Try the crumb cake...you won’t be disappointed.

The seeded rye bread is a staple for me. It is sooo good, and everyone that I have spoken to that has had it resoundingly agrees!The bagels are unquestionably a cut WAY above the rest available in the area (and I speak from experience as I've tried them all...). My personal favorite are the poppy seed, and if you were to compare them to others you could honestly say "That's not a poppy seed bagel, THIS is a poppy seed bagel!" ;o) To my taste they're so good that I won't even consider getting one from anywhere else...I'm not much of a sweets eater, so I cannot comment on that...By far the best pizza in the area too! (Supplies limited, so come at noon if you want to get a slice...;o)The owner/baker is a refreshingly down to earth guy, as are the staff and regular customers too, which is unfortunately increasing rare these days, so that makes for a very nice atmosphere as well.

Always want shop local... I am a small business advocate. This nasty man that owns the place should take some pointers from the sweet wonderful young ladies he has working for him. He is rude always rude. Listen buddy your bakery isn’t that good and your freezer burned ice cream is worse. We shop there bc we try and support local business. Remember where you came from. Really hope Johnnys isn’t associated bc I’m sending all my friends and coworkers to Johnnys.

BEST chocolate mousse cake- a special occasion staple in our house. Love the bagels and the pizza (sells out fast). My mother loves the raspberry crumb cake and she's a baker. Also scrumptious- Napoleans. cream puffs and mini eclairs. Lucky to have them in town!

The Goodie Shoppe is fantastic! My Dad goes there every day.When we come down from Waterloo My we meet him there for baked goods , coffee,pizza on Saturday. Great place!

ok..my cardiologist isn't happy with me consuming marks product , but he doesn't know!! my taste buds are sooooooo very happy...consistently an amazing baked good or specialty item...and you must talk w/ mark....he is the force behind the spectacular products...coffees, pizza, bagels, pastries, cookies and the most amazing breads!! he knows his way around a bakery...!!...i think i may just have to run over there this weekend!!..keep up the incredible work and i will see you soon!!
